Born Oct. 19, 1910, in Myrtle, Mo., to Frank W. and Lilly Pitts Parrott, he married Naomi G. Chittum on July 27, 1945, in Norfolk, Va. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Thomas W. of Peoria; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jacquelyn) Ard of Zachary, La. ed note; stepdaughter, Mrs. Virgil (Barbara) Lindsey and Mrs. Joel (Dolores) McMickell, both of Buena Park, Calif.; two brothers, Thompson of Anaheim, Calif., and Peterson of Yuma, Ariz.; and two sisters, Sarah DeYoung of Lawndale, Calif., and Virginia Galina of Yucaipa, Calif. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

He was a guard at Commercial National Bank in Peoria for many years before retiring in 1975. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, where military rites will be accorded.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Methodist Hospice.

Taco Bell Holdup Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Hurt

SANTA ANA - One employe was killed and another wounded in an "execution-style" shooting during the robbery of a Taco Bell restaurant here early Sunday, police said. Six hours later, two suspects were arrested, including a man who police said was employed at the same Taco Bell. <snip>

Killed was Katherine Parrott, 20, of Huntington Beach, the night shift assistant manager. She was pronounced dead at the scene. <snip>

According to police, one suspect entered the empty take-out restaurant at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The second suspect entered shortly afterward. The second suspect pulled out a pistol, ordering Miss Parrott and Pickrell - the only employes in the restaurant - to the walk-in cooler unit behind the order table, police said. Miss Parrott and Pickrell were to told to kneel, facing the rear wall of the cooler. Then, according to police, a suspect shot each in the back of the head. <snip>

Miss Parrott, the daughter of Clifford and Leola Parrott of Huntington Beach, was a graduate of Santa Ana High School. Services are scheduled for Tuesday at Fairhaven Memorial Park.

Miss Parrott was described by associates as a "nice, friendly" girl who was taking managerial training with the Taco Bell corporation. She had transferred to the S. Bristol branch a few weeks ago. <snip>
